JOB DESCRIPTION

An excellent production planner is well versed in production procedures and ways to optimize them. Must be organized and results driven with great problem solving skills. Advanced communication and computer skills are a must. The goal is to ensure the smooth and most cost-efficient flow of production in operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate production work flow.

Plan and Prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.

Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.

DUTIES

Create production work orders that comply with engineering data and specifications.

Purchase materials required to manufacture per engineering data and specifications.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer skills. (JobBoss, MQ1)

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 3 years experience required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (Short periodic breaks are encouraged.)

Must be able to lift 15 lbs. at times.

Must be able to work in close environment with people from other departments.
